A blog about my dog
This blog is not to be confused with the TV show "Dog with a Blog."
Maybie does not have a blog, although she does have an Instagram (click here for adorableness).
I decided to write a blog about my dog for several reasons,
1. She's really freaking cute.
2. There's more to this blog.
In my house, the name or mention of "Abby" is sacred, it always will be. Abby was my mother's corgi. She was wonderful and sweet to my mother. I believe she saved my mother in a terrible divorce and marriage without Abby, my mother would have given up.
Regardless, Abby raised me. She sat by my crib, rolled on the floor with me, and alerted my mom of all my baby needs.
My mom still accidently calls me Abby.
Abby was a part of our family. She was integral. She chased and hearded the boys as they would squeal and jump on beds. She slept next to my mother, religiously following her from room to roorm. Only getting up to check on my brothers and I. She was kind of a bitch in all the right and sassy ways. She shed like crazy, but snuggled like mad.
Once, Abby ate Timothy's (my brother) throwup on a roadtrip from Memphis to Florida. The worst part, my mother let her.
From the moment I went to college and thought about a dog, I wanted a corgi. I wanted my Abby.
And now I have her; and she's hilarious, hyper, lovely, and affectionate.
She eats asphalt, peed and pooped on our bed in one day, brings me her waterbowl when its empty, ate my garden, sits on Jake's lap and falls asleep, has white sock feet, runs like a lab, swings her hips like a corgi, and loves like an Abby.
