Hello, Austin. Goodbye, Oxford
In just 8 days, we will be Texas residents.
After a crazy summer of weddings, travel, family and job finding stress, it feels so good to have found a home.
It was a strange feeling having packed up our apartment in Oxford. But, I don't think it was the kind of strange Jake and I expected. We felt so much peace. We felt ready. We felt prepared. Spending the first two years of our marriage surrounded by a badass community, people we love, and the safety of Oxford was perfect. Packing up our apartment proved we were ready for the next big adventure. One in a much bigger state, in a much bigger city, in a much smaller apartment (did I tell you we are moving into a bungalow?). We looked around the empty space and instead of feeling sad and anxious, we both felt eager and excited. It was time to go. We will miss the sweet small town and the even sweeter people, but we are more than ready for the new challenges and new people.
Over the next several weeks I am amped to share some of my adventures on the blog, again. I fade in and out of the blogging world. But, I think (I hope), this time, I am here to stay. To write to you (whoever you are) while overusing commas, creating a new home, and working on some new projects.
Writing and creating are my passions and I miss the outlet of this space.
So, cheers to a new adventure, in more ways than one.
